Employment with Mid North Coast LHD requires candidates to hold a valid authority to work in Australia (Aust Work Rights Visa). 



The position sits within the Safeguards Child and Adolescent Mental Health Response Team (‘Safeguards Team’) and reports to the Safeguards Team Leader with professional responsibility to District Nurse Manager, Mental Health MNCLHD.

The Safeguards Team is a new dedicated CAMHS resource designed to provide innovative and best practice care to children and adolescents aged 0-17 years experiencing acute mental health distress.  The team is community based and provides rapid, mobile and flexible care to resolve mental health crisis, including assertive outreach, care coordination and time-limited therapeutic interventions.  

We are seeking a compassionate skilled CNS2 who can plan, coordinate, and implement clinical expertise and extensive specialised knowledge to provide evidence based, trauma informed and developmentally appropriate assessment and treatment to children and adolescents (0 to 17 years) in acute mental health distress, and their families.
Have current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) with relevant post graduate qualifications in mental health and at least 3 years recent experience working in the child and adolescent mental health clinical area.

The Safeguards Team operates 7 days/week with extended hours on weekdays, and will respond to young people in their schools, homes and communities and in hospital-based settings through face to face, phone and telehealth appointments
