Are you an experienced clinical psychologist who enjoys working with mental health consumers aged 65 and older? This is an exciting opportunity exists for a clinical psychologist to work in an older persons mental health service as part of our caring and compassionate team.

Older Persons Mental Health, St George and Sutherland Mental Health Services, located on the St George Hospital campus, Kogarah and The Sutherland Hospital campus, Caringbah,

Selection Criteria: 

To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the below questions as thoroughly as possible.

  1. Completion of 2 year (minimum) full time equivalent accredited postgraduate Masters or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology. Registration with the AHPRA Psychology Board of Australia. Current area practice endorsement with Psychology Board of Australia in the area of Clinical Psychology, or eligibility to progress to same through Clinical Psychology Registrar Program.
  2. Skilled and experienced in assessing and providing a wide range of psychological therapies, such as CBT and behavioural activation to older people with mental disorders
  3. Proven ability to provide high level clinical advice and education to enhance service delivery and to guide and support others in providing service excellence
  4. Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
  5. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, oral and written skills
  6. Computer competency
  7. Current driver’s license and willingness to travel in accordance with the requirement of the role
