Central Coast Local Health District is looking for a caring and compassionate Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 to join their team as a McGrath Cancer Care Nurse (MCCN - Lung Cancer) on a temporary full time basis.
The MCCN provides care, information, and support for people with cancer across the continuity of care pathways and multidisciplinary teams across the cancer care community within the Health Service/demographic region. The MCCN will provide collaborative clinical and supportive care for people and their families, along with the facilitation of communication across the multidisciplinary cancer care team.
About You
- You have current registration with AHPRA as a registered Nurse (Division 1) with relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years’ experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification.
- You use effective communication including verbal, written and interpersonal skills and information technology skills to provide complex specialty services and influence innovative nursing practice.
- Understanding of common treatment regimens for lung cancer and the physical, and psychological needs of patients with cancer.
Where You’ll Be Working
You will be based across both Gosford Hospital and Wyong Hospital.
