Rankin Park Occupational Therapy is a highly skilled team of committed and dedicated Occupational Therapist and Allied Health Assistants.  The team focused on high quality evidence based care to achieve the patient’s goals. This role involves supporting the Occupational Therapy process by providing both administrative and clinical support within a supportive and dedicated team.

About the role:
Assist the Occupational Therapist by performing designated clinical and administrative tasks to support high-quality patient care. This includes providing one-on-one therapy as assigned and actively participating in therapy groups. Responsibilities within these groups include setup, facilitation, documentation, and cleanup. Therapy groups may focus on areas such as upper limb rehabilitation, cognitive therapy, meal preparation (breakfast and lunch groups), and leisure-based activities.

Maintain a clean, organised therapy environment to ensure efficiency and accessibility. This involves keeping therapy rooms tidy and ensuring that all necessary resources are available for Occupational Therapists to deliver effective treatment.

Under the direction of the treating Occupational Therapist, implement goal-oriented therapy programs designed to support patient progress. These programs may target key areas such as upper limb rehabilitation, cognition, perception, vision, and sensory function, helping patients work toward and achieve their therapeutic goals.

You will be supported through ongoing structured supervision with an experienced Occupational Therapist and mentorship with an experienced Allied Health Assistant. There will be a comprehensive orientation process, as well as internal and external professional development opportunities in line with your goals.
