About the role:
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable After-Hours Clinical Nurse Educator to join our Educator Team. This role provides educational support across various wards, focusing on developing and delivering training through diverse modalities. You will play a critical role in supporting staff with clinical skills, ensuring competencies are up-to-date, and assisting during clinical emergencies.

You will work closely with various departments, fostering a culture of teamwork and communication to ensure seamless patient care and staff support.
As an After-Hours Clinical Nurse Educator, your week will involve:
  • Conducting educational sessions and training for nursing staff on various clinical skills.
  • Supporting clinical staff on the floor and assisting during emergencies.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and staff competencies.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the educational needs of staff to tailor programs effectively.

About you:
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in acute/critical care nursing.
  • A passion for education and mentoring, with the ability to adapt teaching styles to meet diverse staff needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with colleagues.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and clinical situations.

Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse with full AHPRA registration and who holds relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate.
