Selection Criteria
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants must have Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM) or recognition as a specialist by the Medical Board of Australia.
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
- Ability to promote, co-ordinate and develop high quality emergency medicine education and training in a hospital environment.
- Demonstrated clinical leadership, communication, supervision, negotiation and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of education and training techniques, processes and assessment practices; especially in the context of emergency medicine training. Preferably applicants will have teaching co-ordination or senior educational role experience.
- Demonstrated success in building effective teams and relationships with colleagues, staff and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to be innovative, inspiring and to focus on achieving results.
- Awareness of the future direction of medical education and training in NSW.
