Ccentric is delighted to be engaged by South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) to conduct an important search for the newly created position of Executive Director Operations and Performance.

SWSLHD comprises one of the most culturally and linguistically diverse and fastest growing regions in Australia across a geographical area of approximately 6,243 square kilometres. It is one of the largest local health districts in NSW, with more than one million residents and includes the local government areas of Fairfield, Liverpool, Campbelltown, Camden, Wollondilly, Wingecarribee and parts of Canterbury-Bankstown. People from across the world have made south western Sydney their home, with around 48 per cent speaking a language other than English at home. 

Reporting to the newly appointed Chief Executive (CE) Ms Sonia Marshall, the Executive Director of Operations & Performance is responsible for the clinical operations and performance of the growing District in collaboration with the CE and other members of the SWSLHD Executive Leadership team. The role assumes performance accountability for clinical services as outlined in the annual SWSLHD Service Level Agreement with the NSW Ministry of Health. As a senior executive role within SWSLHD, the role provides significant input into the development and oversight of District strategic and operational plans, policy and development, business and clinical service strategies and relationship management.

This role will be responsible for the operational performance of multiple portfolios, including Liverpool Hospital, Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals, Bankstown Hospital, Fairfield Hospital, Bowral Hospital, and Mental Health sector.  Each portfolio has different situation and priority to manage. As the Executive Director of Operations and Performance: 

1.    Please outline how you will ensure there is a culture of engagement, accountability and support that will enable your team to work on their priorities and collaborate each other to achieve their objectives. How have you achieved this in your current or prior work environments? 
2.    Please outline when you made some wrong decisions in your prior executive leadership positions. What was the instance, and what self-learning you did you take forward from this lesson? 
 
Essential Requirements
 
The successful candidate will have:
 
•    Tertiary qualifications in a related field and/or demonstrated extensive proven experience at a senior management level in a substantial and complex organisation engaged in clinical service delivery. 
•    Demonstrated application of knowledge and expertise in health service delivery, across a diverse range of care sectors, in advocacy for positive change in a broad range of community and government forums. 
•    Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse range of staff across clinical and corporate functions to deliver high quality integrated health services. 
 
This is an ongoing, full time, Band 2, Health Service Senior Executive (HSSE) role. An attractive remuneration package within the range of $316,836 to $352,990 per annum, with annual performance reviews, will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
