Are you an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander social worker/psychologist with experience supporting people who have been impacted by violence?

.

Our New Street team, located on the lands of the Dharawal and Yuin nations, are looking for a social worker/psychologist who:

  • Has a degree in social work or psychology and full AHPRA registration.
  • Has a minimum of three years’ post-graduate experience working with adults and young people with complex trauma.
  • Has knowledge and understanding of the impacts of trauma on the brain and body.
  • Has knowledge and is able to work with children who have sexually harmed and their families.
  • Has a willingness to work in a co-therapy model of care.
  • Understands the impact of colonisation, patriarchy and other social political systems that have impacted Indigenous Australian experience of violence and abuse.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a social worker/psychologist to join the New Street team. The position is part of a team of counsellors, providing long term family therapy for children and young people who sexually harm.

The role is based at Warilla Community Health Centre and Nowra Community Health Centre. A current, unrestricted NSW driver’s licence with the ability to travel to multiple locations is required.
