The Role

Our staff in Adolescent Health, Primary Care deliver care to young people in contact with the criminal justice system with a range of Primary Health presentations, and other co morbidities. The Nurse Manager Adolescent Health, Primary Care has primary responsibility as line manager to the local Nursing Unit Managers at all Youth Justice Centres and day-to-day operational responsibility for health service provision at Cobham Youth Justice Centre.  

The role will support the Service Director Adolescent Health in ensuring the clinical teams adopt innovative practice, assist with service planning, policy development, and evaluation of nursing and clinical services.

 

Your Experience

We are looking for a qualified health care professional with:

  • Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Tertiary qualifications in health management/leadership OR working towards same AND/OR extensive operational management knowledge and skills in a relevant setting. 
  • Current NSW Driver Licence.

 

Our Location

The Nurse Manager Adolescent Health, Primary Care operates across two key locations: our Justice Health Olympic Park (JHOP) office and Cobham Youth Justice Centre (YJC).

The JHOP is a modern, purpose-designed office based in Sydney Olympic Park. It fosters collaboration across multidisciplinary teams – with open-plan workspaces, abundant natural light, and walking distance to cafés, restaurants, and public transport options. Subsidised nearby parking, bicycle facilities and road access via the M4 and Parramatta Road offer added convenience.

Cobham YJC is located in Werrington and is the principal remand centre for males aged 15 years and over from the Sydney Metropolitan Area. The centre offers a range of services, programs and interventions to address individual needs and reduce offending. Free on-site parking is available with easy access via public transport and key road links.
