What you'll be doing

The Clinical Trials Team Lead is responsible for ensuring the smooth operationalisation of the Regional Rural Remote Clinical Trial Enabling Program (R3-CTEP) clinical trials portfolio in ISLHD. The role will provide expert knowledge and high quality expertise and support for the delivery and conduct of clinical trials. 

The position will support the Clinical Trials Manager with day to day management of the R3-CTEP program including operational logistics, supervision and line management of trial staff and may assist in the financial management of clinical trial activity. As a Senior member of the team, the position will provide a pivotal role in supporting the trial workforce with education, clinical skills knowledge development, quality conduct of clinical trials in compliance with relevant legal, ethical and regulatory guidelines and the specialist care of trial participants ensuring a safe and efficient care pathway.

SELECTION CRITERIA

  1. Proven, significant experience in health related research, coupled with extensive experience in the coordination of clinical trials, and possess a broad understanding of financial management.
  2. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and management support. Experience in the management of performance and professional development
  3. Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills including highly developed negotiation and delegation skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate staff.
  4. Demonstrated computer literacy with specific clinical trials experience including managing databases.
  5. Expert level understanding and demonstrated compliance with good clinical practice, NSW Health (Australian) Privacy legislation as well as relevant national and international guidelines
  6. Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering education to health professionals.
