An exciting opportunity exists for a Temporary Full Time Level 3 Dietitian to join the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District’s Nutrition & Dietetics Department. The position will work across Wollongong and Shellharbour Hospital inpatient Mental Health Units. The position works with a range of consumers including adolescents, adults and older persons in the inpatient mental health setting including individual nutrition assessment and counselling as well as group programs. We are looking for a Dietitian who has experience or an interest in mental health, has good advocacy skills and is able to work both independently as the sole dietitian in the service and collaboratively within the multidisciplinary health care team. The preferred candidate will be able to manage a busy caseload and has flexibility to work across sites and settings.

Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
