Join us in shaping healthier futures. Together we can do more.

As the Drug and Alcohol Consultation Liaison, you will provide hands-on support and expert guidance to patients presenting with drug and alcohol concerns across Emergency Departments, inpatient units, and the Safe Assessment Unit (SAU). Working after hours, you’ll respond to complex situations like intoxication, withdrawal, and co-occurring mental health issues, helping ensure safe, timely, and practical care. Based at Shellharbour Hospital and travelling across the district, including Orana House, you’ll be a trusted resource for staff - offering advice, supporting care planning, and mentoring teams. You’ll also have the chance to contribute to education, quality improvement, and innovative ways of working that make a real difference for patients, families, and your colleagues.

The Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) team work for the greater good through an open, flexible and dynamic, strengths-based approach. We listen to understand, not label.  We are an inclusive and committed team where staff are encouraged to bring their whole self to work and are proud that our team is as diverse as the vibrant communities we support.
