The Senior Clinical Research Officer will work closely with the Clinical Trials Manager to deliver a high performing, quality, safe and efficient clinical trial service. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team the position will provide line management duties to the Clinical Trial Research Officer workforce and senior level leadership within the clinical trial unit.

The position will be responsible for education and knowledge development of the workforce as well as the development and implementation of quality systems and processes to support clinical trial conduct. The position requires a comprehensive understanding of the Ethical, Research Governance and regulatory frameworks that govern the conduct of clinical trials and will support the Clinical Trials Manager with expert advice and delivery of clinical trials from feasibility through to trial completion.

Wollongong Hospital, located on Dharawal Country, is the Illawarra Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
