- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a public health field or equivalent as determined by the organisation, or relevant equivalent work experience or a combination of study and work experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge and appreciation of the processes of infectious diseases surveillance or laboratory diagnosis of infectious diseases.
- Demonstrated effective time management skills with the ability to be flexible, adapt work practices and prioritise workload to meet conflicting deadlines.
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
- High level experience with managing databases and undertaking data quality activities.
- High level skills with MS suite of software with competency in the use of NSW Health web based Notifiable Conditions Information Management System desirable, or a demonstrated capacity to learn new systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to progress assigned responsibilities within agreed or designated timeframes in a high volume work environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
