Research Assistant - Data Analytics
- Bachelor’s degree to Honours level relevant to computer science, AI/machine learning and/or bioinformatics equivalent experience in specified field.
- Excellent working knowledge of computer science research methods utilizing data mining, machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques, with specific experience with deep learning.
- Demonstrated experience in high performance computing data collection, database management and quality assurance as well as establishing, optimising and testing data-driven analyses within a research setting.
- Demonstrated understanding of biomedical data, its source, and characteristics with a focus on data derived from biospecimens including genomic and proteomic data.
- Possess high levels of organisation and meticulous data management and recording of source code during experimentation. Evidence of efficient time management and task planning.
- A sound understanding of data confidentiality and principles of ethical research practice.
- Evidence for a high standard of communication skills and demonstrated ability working effectively both independently and within dynamic research teams.
