  1. Relevant tertiary qualification in a related field of business, commerce, legal and/or minimum three years’ equivalent working experience in a senior contract management role operating within a similar environment, with multiple stakeholders, competing priorities and a wide geographical coverage.
  2. Detailed knowledge and understanding of the NSW Procurement Policy and NSW Health Pathology strategic direction is preferred.
  3. Broad knowledge of and experience in contemporary and best in class procurement and contract management practices, including sourcing, category management and contract management. Demonstrated experience in developing and promoting strategies to deliver sustained value, including cost reduction, cost avoidance and risk management.
  4. High level interpersonal skills including effective communication, collaboration and engagement, negotiation, and influencing skills with all levels of government, staff, management, customers, suppliers and stakeholders; with demonstrated capability to build, maintain and use relationships to successfully achieve business outcomes.
  5. Experience in contract management policies and procedures and embedding best practice principles aligned to a public sector context. Proven experience in the successful management of multiple contracts and suppliers delivering positive contractual outcomes.
  6. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities with demonstrated experience and ability to coach, influence, and work with stakeholders to achieve effective procurement outcomes and continuous improvement.
  7. Proven engagement, collaboration, and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to build, maintain and use relationships with customers, staff, and stakeholders.
  8. Strong analytical skills with demonstrated advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. 

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.

This position is a permanent position. To be eligible for permanent appointment to a position in NSW Health, you must have an Australian citizenship or permanent Australian residency. Please note: A person who is not an Australian citizen or a permanent resident is only eligible for temporary employment for a period not longer than the duration of their current visa.
