Where you'll be working
Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region.  What you'll be doing
The Westmead Medical Oncology Clinical Trials Unit is responsible for clinical drug trials and investigator-initiated Cancer research studies. It is a long-standing unit that has recently had a major restructure and hiring of a new leadership team.
The Clinical Trials Assistant is responsible for providing research and administrative support to ensure effective and efficient team operations. In conjunction with team members the Clinical Trials Assistant will be responsible for maintaining appropriate study documents and will assist with some laboratory procedures. This role will work across the trials unit and assist with general trial support as requested or allocated.

Essential Criteria:

Qualification: Relevant Tertiary qualification in a health discipline

Selection Criteria:

  1. Tertiary qualification in a health or science discipline and equivalent training and experience.
  2. Proven proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook as well as database software.
  3. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  4. Ability to meet deadlines, adapt to a fast pace environment and be flexible with work hours.
  5. Flexibility to work collaboratively within a team and independently with self-oversight.
  6. Demonstrated excellent organisational, problem solving skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work.
  7. Ability to complete tasks efficiently and deliver outcomes as required, with accuracy and attention to detail.
  8. Knowledge of medical terminology and/or laboratory based work and/or venepuncture certification.
