An exciting opportunity exists to join Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) Clinical Coding team. The Clinical Coding Operations Manager is responsible for managing all operational aspects of Clinical Coding for NSLHD.

What you'll be doing

To provide leadership of the NSLHD Clinical Coding team at an operational level. Ensuring efficient and effective management of the Clinical Coders, trainee Clinical Coders, coding support staff and casual pool Coders.

 

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Health Information Management, Clinical Coding and extensive coding experience and expert knowledge of ICD-10-AM and DRGs in NSW Tertiary hospitals or relevant qualifications and/or experience relevant to the role.
  2. Proven effective management skills, including the ability to lead, mentor and motivate a large team.
  3. Strong analytical, organisational, and time management skills with ability to prioritise to ensure the completion of high-volume workload and meet deadlines of the team.
