Where you'll be working:
This Senior Speech Pathologist position is situated at Manning Hospital Taree in the beautiful Manning Valley. Within 15 minutes of idyllic beaches and scenic bushland, Taree is less than 2 hours north of Newcastle and 4 hours from Sydney and is surrounded by beautiful small beachside towns.
Manning Hospital is a 180 bed hospital with a wide range of specialty areas. As the successful applicant you will provide high quality speech pathology services to a broad range of areas of practice across the hospital, and in the community.
About the role:
Part of this position is working as the lead Speech Pathologist for local inpatient and outpatient Oncological services including laryngectomy care, head and neck cancer across the patient’s journey and medical oncology. This position also works across a dynamic acute hospital including opportunities to work in the stroke unit, ICU, ED, Multipurpose Unit (MPU), palliative care, VFSS, tracheostomy care, community outreach and inpatient paediatric feeding services.
You will work within a team of speech pathologists who are dedicated to providing evidence based best practice, are highly motivated to continuing professional development and keen to welcome long-term members to the team.

- Hold a bachelor or post graduate degree in speech pathology which provides eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
