About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our compassionate team, playing an important role in delivering and evaluating high-quality perioperative nursing care tailored to meet the unique clinical objectives of each patient. On any given day, you will be supporting surgical patients before and after their procedures; ensuring safe, compassionate care is provided to everyone undertaking procedures at Gunnedah Hospital.
You won’t be working alone. You’ll be supported by the Registered Nurses, the Nurse Unit Manager and the Clinical Nurse Educators. A thorough in-house orientation will be provided as well as continuing education opportunities tailored to fit your career goals. The small rural team is warm and inclusive, and is ready to welcome you onto their team!

Situated on the banks of the Namoi River, Gunnedah is beautiful, historical country town. With plenty to do, from museums to national parks, Gunnedah is the perfect place to call home!
As our ideal candidate, you will:
✅ Demonstrate your perioperative/ theatres experience, and a strong understanding of compliance with the ACORN, GENCA and ANZCA standards.
✅ Have great time management
✅ Work comfortably with computer systems such as IPM, Medchart and so on
✅ Be flexible and adaptable to the needs to the patients and their families
✅ Have a great team spirit
Requirements:
✅ Registered Nurse with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA
