About the role:
Narrabri Hospital is excited to welcome you as their new Midwifery & Nurse Unit Manager (MUM/ NUM) into the team. This is an interesting opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their – Maternity is not a standalone unit within the hospital, combining with their Inpatient Unit (IPU). The 28-bed unit combines maternity, paediatrics, palliative care and medical/ surgical patients. On any given day, you will be providing clinical leadership by managing workforce operations within the unit such as rostering and payroll, patient flow coordination, and liaising with other hospitals in relation to the care of women to provide service delivery. You won’t be working alone. The NUM/ MUM works with the Clinical Nurse Manager, supporting each other within all the daily functions of the service. You will also be supported by your fellow NUM’s in Emergency and Theatres. A thorough orientation will be provided, and ongoing professional development opportunities are always encouraged and supported. Requirements:
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse and/ or Registered Midwife with AHPRA
