About the role:
Sustaining NSW Families (SNF) is excited to advertise for an Adult/ Paediatric Dietitian across their two enthusiastic sites. The Newcastle & Lake Macquarie Team is based in Wallsend Health Campus, whilst the Port Stephens & Lower Mid North Coast (LMNC) Team are located in Raymond Terrace Health Campus. The successful applicant will work in a consultancy capacity, attending case reviews and providing support to Child and Family Health nurses, families and the multidisciplinary team. Case review is on Tuesday for the Newcastle & Lake Macquarie team and Thursday for the Port Stephens & LMNC Team. The successful applicant will work across both sites on the indicated days or the positions can be filled by 2 applicants. 

You won’t be working alone. The successful applicant/s will be supported by the Manager, Nurse Unit Manager / Co-ordinator, Social worker and the multi-disciplinary team. Ongoing education and orientation to the program will be provided at the commencement of the program and ongoing as required. Encouragement is given to participate in the Allied Health SNF meetings and specialty communities of practice. The team demonstrates a supportive, collaborative and respectful culture which fosters a positive and productive work environment.  

As the successful candidate, you will:

  • Be knowledgeable and enthusiastic.
  • Be willing to work in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team
  • Be prepared to travel within the Lower Mid North Coast as required to attend case conferencing

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or post graduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent qualification that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia.
  • Eligibility to drive in NSW and willingness and ability to travel for work purposes.

Additional Information:
