We’re excited to offer the opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Consultant in Aged Care Emergency to join our Integrated Care services team. This is a unique and rewarding role where you will provide leadership, advice, and support across the Residential Aged Care Facilities, the Residential Aged Care In-reach program, and Emergency ASET staff.


About the role:
As the Clinical Nurse Consultant, you will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, compassionate, person-centred care. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Offering expert leadership, clinical advice, and consultancy services to health professionals, patients, and families
  • Collaborating with clients, carers, and health teams to develop and implement care plans
  • Assisting in policy formulation, practice development, and engaging in education and research activities
  • Acting as a key resource in improving health outcomes for older adults and driving service improvement initiatives
  • Promoting clinical excellence, innovation, and continuous quality healthcare improvement

We’re looking for a candidate who has:

  • Proven experience in aged care nursing with a focus on chronic disease management
  • The ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team, with excellent leadership skills 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • A commitment to improving community health services and implementing innovative care models
  • A passion for driving clinical excellence, research, and professional leadership



Essential criteria:

  • A Registered Nurse with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA who has at least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in this specialty field.
  • Approved postgraduate nursing qualifications in Aged care and /or Chronic disease and an eligibility to drive in NSW and the ability and willingness to drive for work purposes
