About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) with a passion for the best possible patient care who would like the opportunity to support the Oncology Unit with their experience in the space. The Armidale Rural Referral Hospital - Oncology Day Unit is a busy 8 chair/1 bed day unit providing treatment to adult patients from Armidale and surrounding areas with both oncological and haematological diagnoses. It runs Monday to Friday excluding public holidays – say goodbye to weekend work! The successful applicant will be part of a dynamic team providing safe, compassionate person centred care and support in collaboration with patients/families/carers and a multidisciplinary team throughout their cancer journey.

You won’t be working alone – you will be provided with a thorough orientation process including supernumery days and will also be supported by Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Consultants and Clinical Nurse Educators specialised in Oncology. 

As our newest RN, you will:

  • Demonstrate your recent experience in Oncology or Haematology nursing
  • Have post graduate qualifications relevant to oncology, or a willingness to undertake
  • Be accredited in cannulation
