About the Opportunity
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced leader to drive our Medical Recruitment Service.
In this role, you will:
Lead the full cycle of recruitment, appointment, credentialing, and onboarding for medical officers across Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD).
Provide expert strategic and operational guidance to the Executive team and senior stakeholders, influencing recruitment strategies that make a difference.
Inspire, mentor, and develop a passionate team, cultivating a positive, high-performance culture.
Drive ongoing improvements across recruitment systems, credentialing workflows and workforce service delivery, ensuring smarter more streamlined process at every stage.
Represent HNELHD on state-wide working groups and committees, sharing your expertise to shape policy, strategy, and best practice.
About You
We’re looking for a motivated, strategic leader who thrives balancing day-to-day operational demands with long-term workforce planning.
To succeed in this role, you bring:
Tertiary qualifications in business, health management, HR, education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven recruitment expertise, ideally within medical or health workforce sectors.
Strong leadership abilities with a knack for mentoring, influencing, and negotiating to achieve outstanding outcomes.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, capable of navigating complex challenges.
A track record of delivering projects, driving system improvements, and managing priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
