The Cessnock District Hospital, a 36-bed facility, provides vital medical services to the local community, including emergency, surgical, and general care. They are looking for proactive and dedicated Registered Nurses to join their tight-knit, supportive team. About the Role
In this role, you’ll be working in our 9 bed medical unit, delivering high-quality, efficient, and effective care tailored to the individual needs of patients and their families or carers. You’ll play a key role in supporting informed decision-making, advocating for patients, and contributing to safe and seamless care.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver and assist in coordinating patient-centred nursing care to achieve individual clinical outcomes

Communicate sensitively with patients and families, advocating for their needs and ensuring their voices are heard

Support and inform patients and their families so they can understand clinical interventions and make informed healthcare decisions

Maintain accurate and detailed patient documentation in line with professional standards

Proactively engage with patients to understand their needs and enhance the delivery of care
-
Ensure nursing practice upholds the rights and dignity of all individuals

Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
About You
You will bring:
- Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse.

A strong commitment to delivering safe, high-quality care

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-first approach

The ability to work collaboratively within a team

A proactive attitude and a willingness to contribute to continuous improvement
