HNECT is responsible for all aspects of clinical technology lifecycle management functions including needs assessment, procurement support, commissioning, maintenance, safety, quality management, replacement and sustainable disposal of medical devices and systems
About You
You’re a team-oriented, detail-focused professional who thrives in a dynamic, project-driven environment. You bring strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
You’ll also have:
- A degree in Biomedical, Mechatronics or Electronics Engineering (eligible for Engineers Australia membership). 
- Extensive experience in a clinical technology or biomedical engineering environment. 
- Demonstrated project management and leadership skills, with the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams. 
- Experience in medical device integration and knowledge of ieMR systems (highly regarded). 
- A current NSW driver’s licence. 
What You’ll Do
Within the role your main responsibilities will include:
- Provide subject matter expertise on clinical technology for new and expanding hospitals. 
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders -including Health Infrastructure, vendors, and clinical teams -to deliver safe, effective, and integrated medical technology solutions. 
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and integration of health technologies in line with Australian Standards and Health Facility Guidelines. 
- Manage safety, quality, and lifecycle processes for medical devices, including recalls, modifications, and performance audits. 
- Lead and support Senior and Technical Officers in daily workshop activities, driving a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement. 
- Contribute to quality improvement and staff development initiatives within HNECT.
