Are you a proactive and organised individual with a passion for supporting others behind the scenes? The First Steps Parenting Service is looking for a dedicated Administrative Officer to join our close-knit team. You’ll be working alongside experienced clinicians including social workers, nurses, paediatricians, and allied health professionals – all committed to providing exceptional care to families in our community.
About the Role:
As the Administrative Officer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our service. Acting as the first point of contact for families and service providers, your strong communication and organisational skills will help support both the team and our clients.
Provide general administrative and clerical support to the multidisciplinary team
Serve as the primary contact for incoming calls and public enquiries
Manage the service email inbox and process incoming and outgoing mail
Oversee accurate data entry for child behaviour and caregiver checklists
Maintain and manage both electronic and physical patient records
Record and track maintenance requests for the service
Coordinate the booking system for fleet vehicles, ensuring availability and efficient use
About You
You’re organised, efficient, and confident managing multiple tasks at once
You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
You thrive in a team environment and are always willing to lend a hand
You are confident working with databases, Microsoft Office, and internal systems
Experience in a healthcare or community service setting is an advantage
