About the job:
This Allied Health Assistant traineeship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain a recognised qualification in Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance while getting hands-on experience. Under the supervision of Allied Health professionals and support staff, you will assist the team with clinical and non-clinical tasks. This may include patient one-to-one sessions, group exercise classes, setting up equipment, and maintaining treatment areas. The Allied Health team will provide you with dedicated support and time to complete your Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance. Additionally, you will have unique learning opportunities to explore various Allied Health career paths within Hunter New England Health. This traineeship is ideal for recent school leavers looking to gain a valuable qualification in a health-related field.

  • Currently at school or a recent school leaver eager to start a career in health.

  • Keen to work as part of a team supporting the community.
  • Be able to communicate respectfully and build rapport easily with people, with an understanding of sensitivity towards diverse cultures and Aboriginal cultures.

As part of the Tamworth Hospital team, you’ll be embraced by a friendly, collaborative atmosphere working alongside both Allied Health Professionals and AHAs. You’ll have supervision and support provided from the Tamworth team, who are very eager to help you learn and grow as a professional during your traineeship.
