About the opportunity

The Director, People and Culture is responsible for strategic human resource outcomes that enable the Infrastructure and Capital Project Delivery Workforces to deliver critical health infrastructure across NSW. The role oversees and leads Workforce Planning, Resource Forecasting, People Operations, Organisational Development, and Performance Management, ensuring workforce capability meets current and future demands. The role shapes workforce decisions, collaborates with key stakeholders to influence and negotiate outcomes, and provides expert workforce advice to the Executive Leadership Team, guiding decision-making and strategies to align with organisational objectives.

The role delivers strategic advisory services to the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Executive and Executive Leadership team to support HI change reforms and workforce decision-making. With a focus on engagement, inclusion, and high performance, the role drives workforce strategies and frameworks, ensuring the effective planning and allocation of resources to support over $2Bn in annual capital and asset programs.

This is a fixed term role for approx. 12 months.

Please note that as Health Infrastructure is an organisation of NSW Health, the successful applicant must reside in NSW or be willing to relocate if appointed.

This recruitment may be used to create a Talent Pool for similar future roles (ongoing or temporary) that may arise over the next 18 months. 

About you

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for delivering organisational workforce objectives with:

·       Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in a large complex organisation.

·       Extensive experience in a People and Culture leadership role with the ability to understand the complexities of managing a Capital Project Delivery Workforce.

·       Extensive experience in providing strategic and informed advice and implementing complex workforce initiatives, ensuring compliance within diverse and regulated environments.
