About the opportunity

The Program Director, Change and Commissioning provides strategic leadership, management and capability building for the change, operational commissioning and innovation programs across Health Infrastructure’s Capital Program. This includes leading advisory services to support the delivery of health buildings, infrastructure in partnership with the Local Health Districts (LHDs), and other NSW affiliated bodies in the State. The role provides high level expertise to the integrated project teams and is accountable for operational strategy, change and commissioning planning, peer review, assurance, resource and budget planning, shared service engagement and strategic planning within large complex public health organisations.

This role will be accountable for the success of the program, the key interface with all Health Districts and responsible for the day-to-day management of the program team. The role builds and manages collaborative relationships with HI project and program directors to provide specialist knowledge and expertise that supports liaison with senior executives in the Health Entities and agencies across the full project life cycle, to ensure innovation in operational planning and readiness, construction and commissioning that promote a best-value approach.

This is a full-time ongoing position. Remuneration will be determined with the successful candidate.

Please note that as Health Infrastructure is an organisation of NSW Health, the successful applicant must reside in NSW or be willing to relocate if appointed. This recruitment may be used to create a Talent Pool for similar future roles (ongoing or temporary) that may arise over the next 18 months. 

About you

To succeed in this role, you will have extensive health related experience working in multidisciplinary teams, with Local Health District Operational Teams, and have a deep understanding of policy, system, work processes and service delivery models to drive safe and effective solutions in complex health environments. You will have a detail-oriented approach to project and stakeholder management acumen, to work with initiative, independently and as part of geographically dispersed teams. Importantly, your commitment to project deliverables will be founded in ensuring public value, in the service of NSW communities. You will be a strong influencer to gain the commitment of relevant stakeholders to establish a cost effective and responsive service delivery model in an environment of conflicting priorities and resource constraints.
