Director of Advanced Training - NSW Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

An exciting opportunity exists to join the Health Education and Training Institute (HETI) as a Director of Advanced Training – NSW Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, in the Mental Health (MHP) Portfolio.

The Director of Advanced Training, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is responsible for:

  • Carrying out the functions of Child and Adolescent Director of Advanced Training required for
    Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry (RANZCP) accreditation of Advanced Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in NSW.
  • Supporting Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Advanced Trainee progression and welfare in NSW.

The role is based in Sydney at 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards in a modern, purpose-built 5 star rated green campus that is well serviced by public transport and access to public parking. Selection Criteria:

  1. Fellowship of RANZCP and RANZCP Certificate of Advanced Training in Child, Adolescent and Family Psychiatry and/or membership of RANZCP Faculty of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  2. Demonstrated experience in the delivery of specialist mental health education with demonstrated experience and skills in program/course/workshop delivery and supervision with particular reference to experience and skills in education in Child, Adolescent and Family Psychiatry.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and with the capacity to contribute positively to a broader team.
  4. Demonstrated high level and written and verbal communication skills.
