The Opportunity

In this role you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients in our hospital. Your responsibilities will be to:
- Co-ordinate the teams responsible for end-to-end food service delivery and monitor workflows and assist Supervisor.
- Provide support, supervision, advice, and training to Food Services Assistant (FSA) staff.
- Engage and communicate with relevant stakeholders such as patients, carers and/or clinical staff to ensure meal ordering protocols are entered into the Menu Management System (MMS).
- Generate reports from the MMS, contact patients, update information and distribute relevant information to staff as required to ensure an efficient meal service.
- Assist patients to make suitable daily meal choices under the guidance and in conjunction with support from Allied Health staff, where appropriate.
- Assist with assembly, delivery, and collection of patient meals, using appropriate technology devices when required.
- Ensure food safety, hygiene, infection prevention and control adhere to relevant service and quality guidelines, standards, policies, procedures, and legislations.

Eligibility Requirements
- Meet essential requirements as outlined in the Position Description
- Candidates must have Australian work rights (citizens, permanent residents, or valid work visa). Permanent roles are open to Australian citizens and permanent residents, while temporary and casual roles welcome applicants with a visa
- This is a NSW Health Category A position which requires immunisation and Tuberculosis (TB) screening. Refer to NSW Health OASV Policy (Page 12) for a complete list of required vaccines. Essential Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in a food service environment with knowledge of food safety and work health & safety principles and procedures with sound time management and organisational skills, working in a fast paced, customer focused environment.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of staff with the ability to resolve conflict, problem solve and work with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated computer literacy skills in the use of electronic devices and ability to apply relevant technology to complete work tasks.
