The Opportunity 

HealthShare NSW is looking for a dedicated individual to join our team at Macquarie Hospital as a Driver with a LR licence, providing the safe handling and transport of food orders to hospital facilities.

In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and safe driving of delivery vehicles, assisting with packaging, loading, and transporting food orders. You will also be tasked with collecting food trolleys and emptying trays from sites, whilst ensuring that timelines, service agreements and processes are consistently adhered to.

Eligibility Requirements 

  • Meet essential requirements as outlined in the Position Description and ensure they are referenced in application responses

  • Candidates must have Australian work rights (citizens, permanent residents, or valid work visa). Permanent roles are open to Australian citizens and permanent residents, while temporary and casual roles welcome applicants with a visa

  • This is a NSW Health Category B position

  • For heavy vehicle drivers (drivers of vehicles with a gross vehicle mass over 4.5tonnes), you must comply with HealthShare NSW guidelines under the Heavy Vehicle National Law. These include regular licence checking, random drug & alcohol testing and adhering to all applicable laws and standards including taking all mandatory and necessary rest breaks
