About the opportunity

This is an identified recruitment under Rule 26 of the Government Sector Employment (General) Rules 2014 where only Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people are considered eligible to apply for this role.

The Aboriginal Cultural Capability Facilitator plays a key role in delivering Aboriginal cultural safety education and training programs for employees. The role will work alongside the Aboriginal Cultural Capability Team Leader to promote and champion cultural capability, safety and responsiveness throughout the organisation.

The Facilitator engages with Aboriginal communities and diverse stakeholders to ensure education and training reflects local cultural protocols and priorities, contributes to the development of localised content and learning experiences, and participates in evaluation and feedback processes that support continuous improvement.

This role requires working confidently in emotionally complex learning environments and a strong commitment to reflective practice, supervision and self care, recognising the cultural and emotional demands of delivering Aboriginal cultural safety education.
