This position qualifies for an annual Recruitment Incentive Package up to the value of $10,000 (conditions apply and may be pro-rata’d to your contracted or ordinary working hours, these payments are paid on a fortnightly basis) under the NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.
This scheme recognises the role key health workers play in enabling the delivery of rural and remote health services, and aims to provide incentives over and above award entitlements, to attract and retain staff in these area.

What you'll be doing
Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate clinical education programs to support ongoing professional clinical development of nursing and midwifery staff working in the speciality of critical care to maintain quality care outcomes for patients and clients.
Nurse Educators are highly valued and vital positions within the Far West LHD as they ensure our patients receive exceptional levels of care by advancing the skills of our staff.

How to apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible:
- Current nursing/midwifery registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with 3 years' experience working in the specialty of Critical Care.
- Current Certificate as a Workplace Trainer and Assessor (currently Certificate IV) or willingness to work towards and attain certificate within 12 months of commencement of position.
- Current Critical Care Post Graduate Qualification or willingness to work towards and attain certificate within 24 months of commencement of position.
- Willingness to provide mandatory education and training within Critical Care and other specialty areas.
- Credentialed as an Advanced Life Support Instructor and in Triage, or willingness to obtain within 12 months of commencement of position.
- Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills as a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, advanced computer skills and use of software programs to develop and deliver education.
- Eligibility to drive in NSW and preparedness to travel across rural and remote areas.
