About the Opportunity 
As Senior Network Engineer of our Statewide Network Services (SNS) – Automation team at eHealth NSW, you will help make a real difference in healthcare through your technical expertise, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design effective automation solutions using Cisco and CI/CD practices. 

This role offers the opportunity to optimize automation workflows for performance and efficiency. This includes integrating feedback for improvements and implementing robust processes for testing, validation, and deployment of network changes to ensure platforms across NSW Health operate seamlessly to deliver patient care.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Be a technical SME in technical delivery, automation designs, deployment, and solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across SNS to incorporate CI/CD designs, workflows, and practices to accelerate network automation changes.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using programming languages like Python, PowerShell, Bash, ensuring robustness, efficiency, and adherence to coding standards.
  • Implement and enhance CI/CD pipeline to streamline testing, validation, and deployment of network automation changes, whilst monitoring for feedback – ensuring timely detection and resolution.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all automation solutions, configurations, and processes.  

     

 

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is proficient in programming and brings practical experience in programming and scripting, with exposure to languages such as Python and other relevant technologies.  
  • Has demonstrated experience working in a similar role with RESTful APIs, Web Services, Cisco, IaC, CI/CD Pipelines and Ansible.
  • Will collaborate and develop processes with cross-functional teams, ensuring optimal performance of the network automation process.
  • Is pro-active in monitoring and improving deployments, procedures, and designs – providing clear configurations and solutions aligned with policies and standards, including documentation.
