About the Opportunity
The Automation Orchestration & Management (AOM) Senior Product Owner is responsible for shaping and delivering the strategic vision of automation across the State-wide Network Services (SNS) group. This role bridges network engineering and software development, enabling seamless service delivery through intelligent automation, orchestration platforms, and infrastructure modernisation, delivering a cloud-native experience for SNS’s infrastructure customers.

This role offers the opportunity to be the voice of and counsel to the customer through managing end-to-end lifecycle and contributing to the team vision and product roadmap. Through effective management of the product backlog, including finance management, creation, refinement and prioritisation of work items, you will lead the team to offer maximum value to the end user and maximum return on investment.

  • Drive strategic product vision, management, and design roadmaps aligned to organisational priorities.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and oversee complex product lifecycles, including management of product backlog.
  • Lead and guide product owners to effectively manage agreed product outcomes and deliverables.
  • Manage and coordinate regular roadmap reporting to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Balance competing demands to achieve business objectives and maintain product management lifecycles across the NSW Health system.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has product lifecycle and roadmap management experience in a large-scale complex environment.
  • Has pro-active leadership and management skills of product lifecycles and backlog.
  • Can produce quality reports to provide product roadmap updates to various stakeholders.
  • Has excellent communication skills to partner and effectively manage customer and key stakeholder agreements and delivery.
  • Can work in an environment where technologies are subject to change and continue providing solutions and quality services to customers.
