What you’ll be doing
The Patient Experience and System Redesign Program leads complex and statewide projects by partnering with NSW cancer services, consumers and key cancer organisations to deliver key projects and initiatives with a focus on addressing inequities in outcomes, reduce the impact of cancer on our communities and improve survival as outlined in the NSW Cancer Plan.
The successful candidate will manage projects in line with the NSW Cancer Plan, within the Patient Experience and System Redesign Program through leading the engagement, implementation, training and sustainability of change initiatives within the health
services of NSW.
Remuneration/Benefits
In addition to base salary:
- 11.5% superannuation
- 4 weeks annual leave (plus 17.5% leave loading)
- 10 days sick leave
- 40 hours per week which include accrual of monthly Allocated Day Off (ADO) x 12 per year.

Essential requirements
- Experience in quality improvement or redesign projects within a health setting
- Tertiary qualification or relevant experience in a health environment
- Qualification in change management
- Extensive experience implementing systems in health services
- Knowledge and understanding of project management principles, methods and techniques
- Understanding of the NSW Health system and clinical information systems used within health settings.
- Be available to travel
If successful for interview candidates must bring original copies of essential qualifications to be sighted by the panel, and one copy to provide to panel.
Pre-screening questions
- Please outline your experience in managing multiple ICT priorities concurrently, whilst addressing diverse stakeholder needs in providing services given the variety and complexity of systems.
- Please outline a project you have led that involved a significant change to peoples work processes and/or systems. What was your role and what strategies did you use to ensure effective engagement and implementation?
