Employment Type: Health Manager Level 4 – Full Time Exempt (Until May 2027)
Remuneration: $153,559.00 – $182,954.00 per annum, plus 12% superannuation
Hours Per Week: 38

About the Opportunity


The NSW Quitline Operations Manager leads a team of diverse professionals responsible for the operations and of the NSW Quitline Service, including governance frameworks, quality service delivery and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability in an evolving landscape. You’ll have a good understanding of clinical service delivery and health systems, extensive experience in operations management, and demonstrated experience using technology for service delivery. A focus on continuous improvement and management of a team to ensure a high level of individual performance and effectiveness is achieved is a key component of the role.

Key capabilities for this role include effective communication and a commitment to customer service, as well as strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise, solution-oriented problem solving and manage change. You will have demonstrated experience clinical leadership and behavioural change. 


Essential Requirements
 

  • Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline such as health or management and demonstrated relevant professional experience and training.
  • Extensive experience in operations management and a sound understanding of clinical service delivery and health systems.
  • Demonstrated high level verbal and interpersonal communication skills, and proven written skills with ability and experience to produce high quality documentation including briefs and report writing.
  • Proven skills and experience in project and change management and the capacity to successfully manage a diverse range of internal/external stakeholders whilst dealing with competing priorities and delivering high quality outcomes within agreed deadlines.
  • Confirmation of non-smoking/non-vaping status - The National Quitline Minimum Standards state to be eligible to support this service all Quitline staff are required to be non-smokers/vapers. A former smoker must have been quit for at least six months.

  1. Describe a time when you were required to engage and work collaboratively with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders. What strategies did you use to engage each group, and how did you use your influencing skills to achieve the desired outcome?

  2. Please outline your experience in managing a clinical service, including the development of strategic plans and quality and performance improvement development.
