Remuneration: $132,236.00 - $150,222.00 per annum, plus 12% superannuation

About the Opportunity
The Business Analyst supports the Information Technology team by providing technical business analysis, review of requirements elicitation and documentation to support the delivery of technical solutions across the organisation, and support for new and existing business process and system improvements.

Essential Requirements

  1. A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst in an IT environment (Agile Software Development, Solution Delivery or Support).
  2. Demonstrated experience in identifying and understanding business needs and technology solutions, with proven analytical skills to enable the development of business process and/or technical solutions, including ability to write documentation that clearly defines business problems in a clear manner.
  3. Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering and documentation, business process modelling, user story creation, functional/non-functional analysis, and business case development.
  4. Proven experience in engaging and collaborating with a range of business stakeholders to develop ongoing working relationships that achieve positive outcomes.
  5. Degree or higher in business, technology and/or equivalent experience.


Pre-Screening Questions

  1. Can you describe a project or initiative where you worked closely with technical SMEs and were required to translate complex needs into a set of clear testable business and technical requirements? How did you manage non-functional requirements such as security, availability or performance and ensure requirements traceability to the solution design and testing phases
  2. Can you provide an example where you’ve played a leading role in the planning, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance for a cloud or infrastructure tool. What artefacts did you produce or contribute to such as process maps, technical specifications etc. How did you ensure that quality standards were maintained and ensure stakeholder buy‑in and alignment?
  3. Can you describe a project or initiative where you identified key risks or issue during requirements gathering or solution delivery phase. How did you communicate this information with stakeholders, and what actions did you take to mitigate the risks/issues that were identified?
