The Cancer Institute NSW is the NSW Government’s cancer control agency, established to lessen the impact of cancer across the state.

What you’ll be doing

Provide coordination services & support to the Corporate Partnering Team, and broader Officer of the Chief Executive Division toward smooth operations of the Corporate Partnering portfolio and contribute to the achievement of strategic and operational objectives for the Office of the Chief Executive.

In addition to base salary:

Essential requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience in providing strategic coordination, governance, and administrative support at a senior level
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, reviewing and implementing organisational policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven track record identifying and implementing ongoing process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and organisational effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated effective planning and organising skills and the ability to deliver multiple outcomes within tight timeframes where attention to detail is essential.
  • Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills, including experience preparing executive level reports, briefing papers and governance documentation.
  • Demonstrated capability to anticipate risks, analyse emerging trends and provide strategic advice to support organisational resilience and compliance.

If successful for interview candidates must bring original copies of essential qualifications to be sighted by the panel, and one copy to provide to panel.

Pre-screening questions

  • Please describe a time when you coordinated a complex administrative or governance process across multiple stakeholders. What was your approach, how did you ensure compliance with relevant policies or frameworks, and what was the outcome?
  • Outline your experience in managing procurement or contract administration within a public sector or regulated environment. How did you ensure adherence to policy, and what improvements (if any) did you implement to enhance efficiency or mitigate risk?
