Employment Type: Health Manager Level 3 - Full-Time Exempt (until June 2027)
Hours Per Week: 38
Remuneration: $137,525.00 - $156,231.00 per annum, plus 12% superannuation

Where you’ll be working
The Clinical Excellence Commission (CEC) is the primary entity for clinical governance and safety assurance across NSW Health. We lead and monitor health system safety by embedding and maturing NSW Health safety system model and strategically partnering with health entities and consumers to foster safe care. The CEC has a system wide leadership role in safety and improvement, with a focus on learning. It provides independent guidance and advice on clinical safety and responds rapidly when system-wide issues arise.
About the Opportunity
This position manages the development, implementation, evaluation and refinement of activities and initiatives to improve medicine and medical device safety across NSW. This position will specifically support the Therapeutic Safety unit in medicine-related quality improvement initiatives. This position is also responsible for providing expert input into Clinical Excellence Commission (CEC) initiatives and any issues referred to the CEC for comment when required.
The position will take a role in the Therapeutics Safety Business and will report to a Senior Clinical Lead within the team. The position is ultimately responsible to the Director, Therapeutics Safety and Chief Advisor, Medication Safety.

This position will join the project team working on standardising continuous medicine infusion concentrations for use across NSW. Please answer the following questions (maximum 500 words each).
- Describe a medication safety or digital health initiative you have implemented. What was your role and how did you ensure patient safety during implementation?
- What experience do you have working with ICUs or critical care services? How has this experience contributed to your understanding of high-risk medicines and continuous infusions?
