What you'll be doing
As our Ward Clerk, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of the Vascular Ward by coordinating patient information, supporting clinical staff, and maintaining efficient administrative systems. Your attention to detail and customer-focused approach will help deliver exceptional care experiences.
In this role you will:
Maintain accurate patient files and records in line with policy.
Enter admissions, discharges, transfers and related transactions in iPMS.
Complete daily patient statistical reporting and bed verification.
Coordinate X-ray returns, discharge transport bookings and essential clerical support.
Manage ward stationery, mail distribution and assist with training new clerks.

Selection Criteria:
Proven extensive clerical experience in an office support role.
Demonstrate extensive receptionist/customer service skills.
Demonstrated excellent clerical organisational and time management skills.
Demonstrated effective communication skills - verbal and written, with strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team situation.
Competent computer skills in a Windows based environment and a knowledge of databases.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to flexible work practices.
