About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and passionate Senior Social Worker level 3 to join the Ngaliya Ngara Aboriginal Family Service within the Aboriginal Health Equity Program. This specialist role provides advanced Social Work services to Aboriginal women, children and families, supporting improved health and wellbeing outcomes through culturally safe, trauma-informed and evidence-based practice.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

•   Provide advanced Social Work assessment, counselling, advocacy and support to Aboriginal parents, children and families experiencing complex psychosocial needs. 
•   Manage a complex clinical caseload while exercising a high level of professional autonomy, clinical reasoning and decision-making. 
•   Provide leadership, supervision, mentoring and support within the Aboriginal Health Equity Program and broader Social Work network. 
•   Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver coordinated, culturally responsive and family-centered care. 
•   Lead and contribute to service development, quality improvement, education, research and workforce capability initiatives.

About You
We're looking for someone who:

•   Holds a Bachelor degree in Social Work with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). 
•   Has extensive experience providing psychosocial assessment, therapeutic counselling and support to parents, children and families with complex needs. 
•   Has demonstrated ability to manage a complex caseload autonomously, applying advanced clinical reasoning and professional judgement. 
•   Experience in leadership, clinical supervision, stakeholder engagement and contributing to service development and quality improvement initiatives. 
•   Has experience in working with aboriginal family's 
•   Is strongly commitment to culturally safe, trauma-informed and evidence-based practice, with current mandatory clearances including a Working With Children Check, National Criminal Record Check, NSW Driver License and vaccination compliance.
