At Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), we are committed to Trusted Care, Better Health for Everyone, and we are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Public Health Immunisation team.
About the Opportunity
As a Public Health Immunisation Registered Nurse, you will play a key role in improving vaccination coverage and supporting safe, evidence-based immunisation practices across the community. Working within the Public Health Unit, you will collaborate with healthcare providers, families, and stakeholders to promote and support immunisation programs.
In this role you will:
- Provide expert clinical advice and support to clients, parents, immunisation providers, and the broader community.
- Assess and manage adverse events following immunisation (AEFI), including follow-up and reporting in collaboration with clinical leads.
- Respond to immunisation enquiries and provide up-to-date, evidence-based recommendations.
- Support education initiatives, including immunisation updates, conferences, and provider engagement activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote immunisation uptake.
- Contribute to public health responses, reporting, and case summaries as required.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and accreditation as an Authorised Nurse Immuniser.
- Demonstrated experience in vaccine administration, cold chain management, and adverse events following immunisation.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a small multidisciplinary team.
- High level of computer literacy and ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care and continuous learning.
