This is an opportunity to lead an innovative program that supports vulnerable pregnant women, babies, and families through early intervention and coordinated care.
About the Opportunity
As the Clinical Lead - Pregnancy Family Conferencing (PFC), you will play a pivotal role in leading a multidisciplinary program that brings together health, child protection, and community partners to improve outcomes for families across our district.
Working within the Violence, Abuse and Neglect (VAN) Service, you will provide strategic and clinical leadership, champion evidence-based practice, and drive service improvement while mentoring and supporting clinicians across the service. In this role you will:
- Lead the Pregnancy Family Conferencing program, delivering expert clinical leadership and coordinating high-quality, family-centred care.
- Partner with health, child protection, Aboriginal organisations, and community agencies to strengthen outcomes for vulnerable children and families.
- Mentor and support clinicians through clinical supervision, professional development, and evidence-based practice.
- Drive innovation and service improvement by leading quality initiatives, strengthening clinical governance, and influencing best practice across the service.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- A Degree in Social Work from an accredited course with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) (or an AASW Overseas Assessment where applicable).
- Extensive experience in child protection practice within a health or related setting, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and clinical frameworks.
- Proven clinical leadership skills, including supervision, multidisciplinary collaboration, service development, and driving evidence-based practice.
- Demonstrated experience providing culturally safe care and building strong partnerships with Aboriginal families, communities, and key stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead in complex environments and manage competing priorities with confidence and compassion.
