At Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), we are committed to Trusted Care, Better Health for Everyone, and we are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse or Midwife to join our Child and Family Health Immunisation team as an Authorised Nurse/Midwife Immuniser.
About the Opportunity
As an Authorised Nurse/Midwife Immuniser, you will play a vital role in delivering immunisation services to pregnant women, infants and children aged 0–5 years, and high school students across the Central Coast. Working within public and school-based vaccination clinics, you will contribute to improving community health outcomes through the prevention of vaccine-preventable diseases.
This position plays a key role in promoting vaccination uptake and supporting the delivery of safe, evidence-based immunisation services. In this role you will:
- Deliver immunisation services in community health centres and school-based vaccination clinics in accordance with the National Immunisation Program and School Vaccination Program.
- Administer vaccinations and provide accurate, evidence-based information to children, families, pregnant women, students, and carers.
- Follow best practice standards and clinical guidelines as outlined in the Australian Immunisation Handbook.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and utilise electronic communication and medical record systems effectively.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with schools, General Practitioners, families, and other healthcare providers to support positive health outcomes.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife with AHPRA and NSW Accreditation as an Authorised Nurse/Midwife Immuniser.
- A current NSW Driver Licence and Working With Children Check.
- A current statement of proficiency in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
- Sound knowledge of the National Immunisation Program, School Vaccination Program, and contemporary immunisation best practice.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.
- A commitment to teamwork, collaboration, and delivering high-quality, person-centred care within a multidisciplinary environment.
- The ability to work independently and confidently facilitate large immunisation clinics within designated timeframes.
