Gosford Hospital is the major referral hospital for the Central Coast, delivering complex, high-acuity medical and surgical care to a rapidly growing community.

We are actively seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join high-performing inpatient, perioperative and specialist teams.

Strong Demand Areas

We are prioritising recruitment in:

  • General Medicine Inpatient Units

  • Cancer Inpatient Unit

  • Surgical Inpatient Units

  • Perioperative Services

  • Nursing Support Roster (NSR)

  • Critical Care

  • Dialysis

Perioperative

We are seeking experienced Perioperative Registered Nurses to join our team within a leading edge 12 theatre unit and 24 bed PACU facility. Bring your perioperative expertise to a dynamic and supportive team, with opportunities to grow and expand your experience across all three perioperative specialties — Scrub/Scout, Anaesthetics and Recovery/PACU.

Scrub / Scout
We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Scrub/Scout Registered Nurses to join a highly motivated perioperative team, working with state of the art equipment and supported by strong educational and professional development opportunities. This is an outstanding opportunity to become part of a highly specialised theatre environment, providing skilled intraoperative nursing care across 11 surgical specialties.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the planning, coordination, and delivery of safe, high quality patient care throughout the perioperative journey. Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to exceptional patient outcomes while further developing your clinical expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Anaesthetics
We are currently seeking experienced Anaesthetic Registered Nurses looking to work in a modern, highly specialised hospital with a strong team culture and genuine professional development opportunities.

As an Anaesthetic Registered Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering safe, high quality perioperative care within a supportive and collaborative environment. Recovery/PACU
We are currently seeking experienced Recovery/PACU Registered Nurses to join our perioperative team. This is an exciting opportunity to become a member of a team committed to clinical excellence, continuous learning and exceptional patient outcomes.  As a Recovery/PACU nurse, you will play a vital role in the immediate post-operative phase, delivering safe, evidence-based care while supporting patients through their recovery from anaesthesia and surgery.

Dialysis

Haemodialysis nursing offers the clinical complexity, autonomy, and critical thinking familiar to acute care nurses, without the relentless pace.
This is not routine, task‑based nursing, it is high‑acuity, problem‑solving care in an outpatient setting, ideal for nurses who want to evolve their practice, apply science to real‑time clinical decision‑making, and work in a role where professional judgement genuinely matters and no two shifts are the same.

Nursing Support Roster

Our Nursing Support Roster is the hospital’s agile clinical response team stepping in to maintain safe, high-quality care during periods of leave, surge or workforce pressure.

As part of NSR, you will:

  • Work across multiple acute areas

  • Maintain and expand your clinical breadth

  • Support teams during critical workforce gaps

  • Develop exceptional adaptability and resilience

If you are versatile and solution-focused, Nursing Support offers unmatched exposure and growth.
