The Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI) leads innovation in clinical care across NSW. We do this by bringing clinicians, patients and healthcare managers together to design and implement new ways to deliver healthcare.
About the Opportunity
The primary purpose of this role is to assist the Blood and Marrow Transplant + Cellular Therapies (BMT+CT) Network & Quality Manager with the maintenance and further development of the ACI Quality Management System for the BMT+CT clinical facilities, laboratories and apheresis units in NSW Public Hospitals which collect, process and/or transplant Haematopoietic Progenitor Cells (HPC) and Immune Effector Cells IEC).
Currently, all apheresis units that collect cells for HPC transplant and IEC infusion and all BMT+CT laboratories are required to conform to the National Pathology Accreditation Advisory Council (NPAAC) Requirements, with compliance assessed by the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) to achieve their accreditation, and, (where applicable) the Foundation for Accreditation of Cellular Therapy and/or Joint Accreditation Committee's of ISCT and EBMT (FACT-JACIE).

Selection Criteria
- Significant experience in blood /marrow transplant and cellular therapies within a clinical, apheresis or laboratory setting, together with tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
- Experience in developing and documenting clinical or laboratory standard operating procedures.
- Experience in quality management and standards as they apply to blood / marrow transplant and cellular therapies (FACT-JACIE, NATA and/or Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)).
- Experience in auditing clinical or laboratory processes.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully communicate and negotiate change and improvement initiatives with clinicians.
- Excellent skills in use of MS Office Suite, project management software e.g. MS Project, MS Visio. quality management software and other relevant software.
- A current NSW Driver's License or similar. Please note that a motorcycle license alone is not sufficient.
